My so called life

I’ve got something kind of great to share…. The Daily SkimmThis daily newsletter simplifies the headlines for the educated professional “who knows enough to know she needs more.”  The Skimm basically gives you snippets of the most relevant news of the day across politics, international affairs technology, sports, entertainment, etc.  It is a quick, informative, entertaining, well-organized read without too many links off to other sites.  Look, I know I could just read the newspaper - all sections, front to back - and some days, I do…but most days (fine, every day other than Sunday), honestly, that task doesn’t quite get checked off my to-do list….
For those days, The Skimm is a great alternative. Since subscribing, I have been impressed by both the thoughtful selection of headlines….but more importantly how the tidbits I picked up from The Skimm have been the basis of daily conversations.   Thanks to The Skimm, over the past week I have talked to my cowkorkers about the economic boost from same-sex weddings, to my baby doctor about the Formula Lockdown in NYC hospitals, to my Father in Law about Google Fiber and to my sister about the Boink Box (eyebrow raise, eyebrow raise). I feel more informed…
or more broadly informed, I suppose.
Generally speaking, I am hyper-averse to inbox clutter, but I’ve got to tell you, I genuinely look forward to The Skimm landing in my inbox every morning. Catching up on the need-to-know headlines in the time it takes to dry my hair….that works for me!Sign-up for TheSkimm HereCheck out their tumblr Here
